Acute Care Surgeon Jobs in Columbus, OH: Same Surgical Skills, a Better Way to Practice

You trained for years to become an Acute Care Surgeon. But across the country, trauma and emergency surgery coverage gaps mean longer hours, heavier call and less time for life outside medicine. Top-tier Acute Care Surgeons shouldn’t have to give up their health, families and weekends for their careers. Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Acute Care Surgeons in Columbus, OH to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area.

Maybe you’re an Acute Care Surgeon ready to step away from 24-hour trauma shifts, relentless emergency general surgery call and productivity targets at large health systems. Maybe you want clinical autonomy outside the high-pressure hospital environment. Either way, this no-call Acute Care Surgeon job offers a high-impact surgical career without the corporate red tape.

Why Acute Care Surgeons in Columbus, OH Choose Wound Care

In a specialty where being on call can mean missed dinners, cancelled vacations and 2 a.m. trauma activations, we offer a refreshing alternative:

• The “No-Call” Lifestyle: No nights, no weekends and no pagers. No trauma alerts, no 2 a.m. emergency cases. This is a true Monday–Friday surgeon job, so your evenings and weekends belong to you and your family.
• Keep Your Surgical Skills: Surgical debridement and bedside procedures stay part of your daily practice, so you can put your procedural expertise to work every day.
• A Sustainable Surgical Career: Bedside procedures are far less physically demanding than long operative cases and overnight shifts, so the strain on your body (and your sleep schedule) goes down and you can keep practicing for years to come.
• Clinical Autonomy: Direct patient outcomes based on your surgical expertise, not a hospital committee or department hierarchy.
• Smarter Documentation: Our custom software is designed to slash admin time, so you’re not stuck charting at midnight when you could be home at a reasonable hour.
