At The Albion in Rainham, we're all about great food, friendly service and making every visit a good one. From sizzling steaks and stacked burgers to classic fish and chips, our menu is packed with pub favourites and weekday deals our guests love.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the General Manager, lead from the front and help make The Albion a pub to be proud of.
What's the opportunity?
As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub, helping to deliver great service, develop your team and drive business performance.
Lead from the front: Motivate and inspire the team to deliver excellent hospitality and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Help run a busy pub: Support the General Manager with daily operations, leading shifts and keeping everything running smoothly.
Put guests first: Make every visit memorable, whether guests are enjoying a family meal, catching the match or relaxing in the beer garden.
Drive results: Help manage sales, labour costs, stock and profitability, making the most of opportunities to grow the business.
Develop your people: Coach and support team members, helping them build confidence and progress in their careers.
Maintain high standards: Take pride in cleanliness, safety, compliance and the overall presentation of the pub.
Build a great team culture: Create a positive environment where people feel supported, valued and motivated.
What we're looking for
Ideally, you'll have previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality, such as a pub, restaurant or similar environment, and be ready to take the next step in your career.
You'll bring:
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
A hands-on approach and the confidence to lead by example.
Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, costs and profitability.
Excellent organisation and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop your team.
Personal Licence
As this role may involve covering the business in the General Manager's absence, you'll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You don't need to have one when you apply. If you're successful, Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
