Why the Blue Posts?
This is more than just another Assistant Manager position.
You'll be joining a flagship Urban & Heritage site in Central London, working in one of our highest-volume operations and gaining valuable experience across people leadership, commercial performance, sporting trade and large-scale hospitality.
And we're passionate about developing our Assistant Managers. If your ambition is to become a General Manager, we'll give you the support, development and opportunities to help you get there.
What's the opportunity?
As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in helping to run one of our biggest and busiest sites in the area.
Working closely with the General Manager, you'll be a visible leader on the floor — driving standards, developing the team and making sure our customers get an experience worth coming back for.
You'll be responsible for:
A pub where sport takes centre stage
Sport is a huge part of life at the Blue Posts.
With Sky Sports and TNT Sports, we're a benchmark venue for sporting trade, attracting customers who want to watch the big games in a lively Central London setting.
From major football fixtures to other sporting events, you'll need to understand what makes a great sports pub — and know how to lead your team when the volume and atmosphere step up.
We're also home to live music and regular events, making this one of the area's biggest and most exciting venues.
What we're looking for
This is an opportunity for someone who is ready to take their management career to the next level.
We're looking for:
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with energy, confidence and ambition — someone who wants to make their mark on a flagship venue and build a long-term career with Greene King.
Personal Licence
As this role may involve covering the business in the General Manager's absence, you'll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You don't need to have one when you apply. If you're successful, Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
And there's plenty in it for you...
Greene King is the country's leading pub company and brewer. With over 220 years of history and a 39,000-strong team, we're on a mission to pour happiness into lives and become the pride of great British hospitality.
CREATING PLACES WHERE PEOPLE FEEL WELCOME, SAFE AND THAT THEY BELONG
We aim to embed inclusion into every decision we make – across our people, customers, communities, suppliers, and operations. We want to create a culture where everyone feels welcome, valued, and able to thrive.
Bring your experience. Lead a flagship venue. Build your future with Greene King.
