At Bedrock, we're moving AI out of the lab and onto real job sites. Our team includes veterans who helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment to a $3.2B acquisition, and grew Uber Freight to $5B in revenue. We retrofit the heavy equipment contractors already own, starting with excavators, so experienced crews can safely take on more projects and deliver more of the critical infrastructure our society needs.
In August 2026, Bedrock-equipped excavators began doing fully autonomous, paid work on live commercial job sites. We've more than doubled our customer base since 2025, and our machines now work with contractors across the South, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic
In October 2026, we raised a $600M Series C co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital, bringing our total funding to nearly $1B. We're using it to put more autonomous machines to work, build the field and operations teams behind every deployment, and expand into new machine types and job-site tasks.
This is where algorithms meet steel-toed boots. You'll work alongside construction veterans and world-class engineers to solve physical-world problems that simulations can't touch. If you're ready to do meaningful work on hard problems, we'd love to have you join us.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, driving its design, scalability, and reliability. You are a champion of production engineering, observability and resilient distributed systems. You can’t stand sending services to production without proper instrumentation. This role is central to scaling the infrastructure that powers our critical data pipelines, providing high leverage to our Machine Learning and Robotics engineering teams. If you thrive on solving complex production problems and building highly-scalable, robust systems, this is the role for you.
What you will doSystem Design & Operations: Design, build, and operate highly scalable, reliable systems used by all Bedrock engineering teams.

Observability Stack: Design, implement, and maintain Bedrock’s end-to-end observability stack (including monitoring, logging, and tracing).
Production Excellence: Pave the road for production engineering by developing and implementing best practices for system reliability, security, on-call rotation, and effective incident response.
Performance & Cost Optimization: Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance system performance and optimize cloud resource consumption.
Reliability Passion: A deep passion for building and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Cloud & IaC Expertise: Strong proficiency in major cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Containerization & Orchestration: Proven experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes.
Observability: Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Splunk, …) and techniques.
Technical Foundations: Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking concepts, database technologies, and compute infrastructure.
Security Best Practices: Strong understanding and experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments.
Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, deal effectively with ambiguity, and take decisive ownership of challenging problems.
