About us
Traditional banking has never really given you control over your financial life. Satispay exists to change that: to empower people through finance.
That means making financial services easy and accessible for over 6.5M users. We started with payments, then benefits, investing, cards... and we’re not done. Not even close. We follow the same logic every time: find a real problem, solve it properly, then look for the next one. The destination? To build the most loved financial platform in the world. If you own outcomes rather than tasks, stay close to what users need, and refuse to wait for someone else to fix what's broken — you'll find people here who work exactly in the same way. And together, you'll build something worth being proud of.
What you'll be doing
As our Finance Operations Specialist, you’ll be the person who ensures the smooth daily operativity of the finance team, owning a broad set of operational processes, from reconciliations to month-end close, and making them more efficient through automation.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
Finance Operations Ownership - Run and continuously improve the team’s day-to-day operational processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with internal controls.
Reconciliation - Own bank, payment-provider and ledger reconciliations end to end: match transactions, investigate breaks and make sure balances are accurate and explained at every month-end close.
Process Design from Scratch - Define and build new processes where none exist, reconciliations included: map the flows, set controls, document procedures and establish clear ownership and escalation paths.
Process Automation & Scripting - Write and maintain Python scripts to automate reconciliation, matching and other routine tasks, reducing manual work and increasing daily efficiency.
Strategic Support - Collaborate with the Finance Team and internal stakeholders to support new projects, ensuring operational alignment with tax, accounting and treasury guidelines.
Data Analysis & Reporting - Extract, manipulate and analyze financial data to monitor open items, report on process status and optimize treasury processes.
Who we're looking for
This role needs someone who is a problem-solver who loves teamwork, gets things done, and is ready for real ownership.
Background - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience - 3+ years of hands-on experience in finance operations or accounting, including reconciliation, and ideally in setting up or improving operational processes.
Technical Proficiency - Solid, proven experience with Python and scripting applied to data manipulation, automation, or API integrations.
Financial Systems Knowledge - Good understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems, bank reconciliation and month-end close workflows.
Core Skills - Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Language Proficiency - Fluent in English and Italian.
Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We believe in the power of different viewpoints and strengths. Your unique perspective is important as we build something special: if you're passionate and can make a difference, we truly encourage you to apply.
