Who We Are:
Crafty’s mission is to help companies craft better workplaces by providing the services and technology to deliver a modern, comprehensive food & beverage program for their employees, no matter where they work. After operating with a vertically integrated supply chain (i.e., directly fulfilling orders from Crafty-operated distribution centers) in Chicago and the Bay Area, our team launched a third party fulfillment model that has rapidly scaled our coverage into over 25 markets globally, in just a year’s time.
At Crafty, we have a diverse, high-powered team, composed of folks in technology, supply chain operations, field operations, sales, account management, and more. Our workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and just plain fun; we pride ourselves in having an amazing mix of humans who make up our team!
The Role
Crafty's Food & Beverage Associate IIs — known internally as "The Independent Contributor" — are the versatile backbone of our in-office Concierge pantry program. Ready for immediate deployment to any site, they navigate new client spaces and execute any tasklist successfully without a prior walkthrough.
This is a high-energy role for people who thrive with independence and derive genuine satisfaction from an organized, elevated space. The F&B Associate II is typically trained across 15+ locations, is on call for coverage needs, and independently travels to assigned locations each day. This role also takes on increased "Day-of Leadership" and implementation oversight responsibilities — including QC checks and peer support when assigned.
Crafty is looking for a F&B Associate II whose responsibilities will include:
- Merchandising: Take pride in your spaces by owning clients' office kitchens & pantries and highly organized storage rooms, complete expiration checks and product rotations as needed
- Customer Service: With support from your manager, engage with our clients and other Crafty team members onsite, delivering the highest quality service
- Maintenance + Inventory: Perform routine maintenance on machines (such as coffee & kegerators), quality control checks, and completion of task lists (inventory, budget)
- Communication: Communicate and escalate any location needs or safety concerns to your manager, and accurately complete pre/post route paperwork
This role is a full-time, hourly role within Crafty. This role supports multiple of our New York City clients Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM by meeting the skill-based qualifications below:
Required Attributes
- Client Obsessed: Demonstrates a deep commitment to understanding and exceeding client needs and preferences, consistently showing eagerness and patience in all client interactions.
- Effective Communicator: Demonstrates exceptional communication skills across interpersonal, verbal, and written formats to ensure clear, accurate, and positive interactions.
- Operationally Sound: Ensures that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Reliable: Shows accountability, punctuality, and consistency in fulfilling commitments. Maintaining high service standards, fostering client trust, and contributing to operational efficiency.
- Resilient: Highly adaptable; can transfer skills learned at one client location to another to quickly get up to speed on the operating rhythms of a new location — without a walkthrough or prior briefing. Comfortable traveling independently between multiple client sites each day and confident stepping into unfamiliar spaces and making them better.
- Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the client site as needed
- Collaborative:
- Peer coach; have mastered our operational best practices and equipment SOPs to the point that they can train their peers. Trained in executing a quality control check and providing constructive, actionable feedback
- Encompasses the ability to work effectively with others towards shared goals while providing and receiving constructive input to enhance individual and team performance
- Demonstrates a team-oriented approach, emphasizing teamwork, supportive behavior, constructive conflict resolution, and a commitment to shared success.
- Autonomy: Operates with a high degree of self-direction — comfortable receiving general direction and determining the best path forward independently. Does not wait to be told what needs improvement; proactively identifies gaps and takes ownership of elevating the quality of every space they cover. Acts decisively and holds themselves accountable for outcomes, not just task completion.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail by meticulously overseeing merchandising, inventory management, and ownership responsibilities to ensure precision, consistency, and excellence in all aspects of operations.
Don't meet all of the qualifications? We want you to consider all of your skills and experiences - both professional and personal- that would make you successful in this role. Although some qualifications are essential, others can be attained with time. We believe diverse perspectives, upbringings, and knowledge contribute to our strong company culture and we encourage you to apply.
