You trained for years to become a General Surgeon. But across the country, surgeon shortages mean longer hours, heavier call and less time for life outside medicine. Top-tier General Surgeons shouldn’t have to give up their health, families and weekends for their careers. Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring General Surgeons in Columbus, OH to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area.

Maybe you’re a General Surgeon ready to step away from endless call rotations, OR block-time battles and productivity targets at large health systems. Maybe you want clinical autonomy outside the high-pressure hospital environment. Either way, this no-call General Surgeon job offers a high-impact surgical career without the corporate red tape.

Why General Surgeons in Columbus, OH Choose Wound Care

In a specialty where being on call can mean missed dinners, cancelled vacations and 2 a.m. emergency cases, we offer a refreshing alternative:

• The “No-Call” Lifestyle: No nights, no weekends and no pagers. No 2 a.m. emergency cases. This is a true Monday–Friday surgeon job, so your evenings and weekends belong to you and your family.
• Keep Your Surgical Skills: Surgical debridement and bedside procedures stay part of your daily practice.
• A Sustainable Surgical Career: Bedside procedures are far less physically demanding than long OR cases, so the strain on your back, neck and shoulders goes down and you can keep practicing for years to come.
• Clinical Autonomy: Direct patient outcomes based on your surgical expertise, not a hospital committee or department hierarchy.
• Smarter Documentation: Our custom software is designed to slash admin time, so you’re not stuck charting at midnight when you could be home at a reasonable hour.
