Role Overview
We're looking for a Head of Growth (Paid Social) with deep, hands-on media buying experience and a proven ability to scale DTC brands profitably.
This person will own paid social performance, primarily across Meta and TikTok, working closely with our founders, growth team, and VP of Creative & Growth.
This is a senior, hands-on role. We're looking for someone who can make strategic decisions about significant advertising budgets while remaining close to the day-to-day execution. You'll have support from a team of media analysts handling campaign builds, QA, and operational tasks.
What You'll Own
- Own paid social performance: Lead day-to-day media buying across Meta and TikTok, managing budgets, campaign structures, bidding, pacing, and optimization to drive profitable new customer acquisition.
- Scale efficiently: Identify opportunities to increase spend while maintaining strong acquisition economics. Make confident decisions about where to allocate budgets across campaigns, products, and audiences.
- Drive creative testing: Partner closely with our creative strategy team to identify winning concepts, understand why ads perform, and translate performance data into actionable creative recommendations.
- Build a disciplined testing approach: Develop and execute tests across creative, audiences, campaign structures, offers, and landing pages, with clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes.
- Own measurement and attribution: Use Northbeam, Meta, Shopify, and other data sources to evaluate performance, understand incremental growth, and guide scaling decisions.
- Lead media buying operations: Oversee media analysts responsible for campaign builds, ad launches, tracking, and QA. Ensure campaigns are accurate, properly configured, and launched on schedule.
- Coordinate across the business: Align media execution with product launches, promotions, subscription acquisition goals, and inventory availability.
- Communicate performance clearly: Provide concise, actionable reporting on acquisition costs, efficiency, creative learnings, and opportunities to improve performance. Proactively flag issues and recommend solutions.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience, preferably at a high-growth DTC brand or performance marketing agency.
- Proven experience personally managing $1M+ in monthly Meta advertising spend, with examples of successfully scaling campaigns while maintaining efficient acquisition costs.
- Expert-level knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, including campaign architecture, optimization, bidding, attribution, and creative testing.
- Experience running and optimizing TikTok paid campaigns.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce unit economics, including CAC, AOV, LTV, contribution margin, and customer payback periods.
- Experience working with UGC, creator-led advertising, partnership ads, and direct-response creative.
- Proficiency with Northbeam, Triple Whale, or comparable attribution platforms, and an understanding of incrementality testing.
- Experience directing media buying operations, delegating execution, and maintaining high standards for campaign accuracy.
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to turn performance data into clear decisions.
- A proactive, highly accountable working style with excellent attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable availability during Eastern Time business hours.
Nice to Have
- Experience scaling supplement, health and wellness, or subscription-based consumer brands.
- Experience launching or scaling additional paid acquisition channels, including Snapchat or AppLovin.
- Experience managing and developing media buyers or analysts.
- Experience navigating performance marketing across large product catalogs and frequent product launches.
