Registered Veterinary Technician, Overnight ICURVT/LVT/CVT Preferred | $27 - $33/hr. | Colorado Springs, CO At Southern Colorado Veterinary Internal Medicine and Oncology (SCVIM), our overnight ICU is dedicated to providing high-touch, compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients—predominantly specialty internal medicine, oncology and soft tissue surgery cases. If you're a Veterinary Technician looking to advance your knowledge and skills in an environment that prioritizes patient comfort, individual needs, and manageable workflows, this is the team for you.
Here is what sets our overnight ICU apart:
- Focus on Quality Care: Enjoy low average patient-to-tech ratios (typically 4:1 or less), allowing you to dedicate real time to each patient’s comfort and clinical needs.
- No Overnight Admitting Chaos: Our hospital maintains its own ICU separate from Emergency. This allows you to focus purely on continuous inpatient care, fostering a restful recovery environment for healing pets rather than managing high-stress emergency intake.
- Supportive On-Call Structure: Our built-in on-call system ensures extra coverage is available when patient acuity rises or a teammate needs to call out sick without guilt. Plus, even when you aren't called in, you still earn on-call pay and accrue PTO simply for being available.
Conveniently located in Colorado Springs, SCVIM is one of the largest veterinary internal medicine and specialty hospitals in the country and a trusted referral destination throughout Southern Colorado. Recently recognized with the Ethos Elite Award for leadership and culture, our hospital is built on collaboration, clinical excellence, and a strong commitment to both patient care and team development.
