Why join us?
Mitti by SafetyCulture is a global tech company, just not the kind you're picturing. Our almost 1,000-person team builds tools that make work better for the three billion frontline workers who keep the world moving. We've got big tech scale, without the sign-off layers or corporate theatre. This next chapter is about scaling smart, powered by AI, a clear vision and real ownership.
Big tech impact, without the big tech ick.
The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll connect with prospective customers who have expressed interest in Mitti, learn about their businesses and challenges, and help determine how Mitti can support them. You’ll be one of the first people our prospective customers interact with and an important part of creating a great customer experience.
You don’t need years of sales experience to be successful here. We’re looking for people who are curious, coachable, competitive, and excited to learn. With hands-on training, regular coaching and mentorship from experienced sales leaders and peers, you’ll learn how to have consultative business conversations, create pipeline, and build the skills needed to grow a career in technology sales.
Be one of the first points of contact for prospective customers interested in Mitti
Connect with prospects through phone, email and other channels to understand their business, priorities and challenges
Ask thoughtful questions, build rapport and communicate how Mitti can help solve real business problems
Research companies, industries and decision-makers to better understand prospective customers and personalize your outreach
Qualify prospective customers and identify strong opportunities for our Account Executives
Use tools like Salesforce and Gong to manage your outreach, customer conversations and pipeline
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and your fellow BDRs to test new ideas, improve messaging and generate more high-quality opportunities
Learn from regular coaching, call reviews and feedback while continuously developing your sales skills
Professional fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a strong plus, but is not required for the role
Early in your career and excited to build a career in sales, technology or business
Some exposure to sales, technology, customer-facing work, or a fast-paced business environment through an internship, part-time role, campus organization or previous job is a plus, but not required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Curious and comfortable asking questions to understand how businesses work and what problems people are trying to solve
Coachable and eager to learn, with the ability to take feedback and put it into practice
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a desire to set goals and work toward them
Comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations, and building relationships with new people
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities and approaches can evolve
Experience with Salesforce, sales technology, or AI tools is a plus, but definitely not required
