SALES REPRESENTATIVE Memphis, TN | Full Time, Commission Based | ContractingPRO
You are already good at this. You just have not been given a real system to prove it. We are hiring for a seat where that is the whole point.
THE JOB In every sales job you have had, you have been the one who could walk into a stranger's kitchen and earn a yes, no script required. You have probably out-produced people with better leads, better training, and a better name behind them. And you have probably done it with thin, recycled leads, little real coaching, and a manager who cared more about this week's number than whether the job you sold could actually be delivered right.
Somewhere along the way you got tired of being told to close anything, regardless of whether it was a fit, and then getting blamed when it fell apart in production. You know the difference between a real sale and a signature you had to talk someone into. You have been ready for a company whose systems match your talent.
We are hiring a Sales Representative, and being the person homeowners trust with the biggest decision on their house is the entire job description.
WHO WE ARE ContractingPRO is a family owned roofing and siding company in Cordova, Tennessee. We have been here since 2012 under the same name and the same family. Over 500 five star Google reviews. Owens Corning Platinum Preferred, which puts us in the top one percent nationally. James Hardie Elite Preferred. A+ with the BBB since the year we opened.
We did not get there by being the cheapest. We got there by telling homeowners the truth and then doing exactly what we said we would do.
WHAT WE BELIEVE, AND WHY IT MATTERS TO THIS SEAT What we actually sell is peace of mind. For a homeowner, that starts the moment you walk up the driveway. This seat owns the clarity of knowing exactly what they are buying and what it costs, and the preparation that makes sure nothing gets promised that Production cannot deliver. We call before they wonder. We deliver bad news early, plainly, with the next step already attached. A homeowner will forgive a delay. They will not forgive being left in the dark.
We believe the small stuff is not small. Somewhere on your second conversation with a homeowner, they will mention their dog's name, or that their daughter has a game that Saturday, or that they just moved in. Write it down. Four dollars of dog treats left on install day with a note for Biscuit is the thing that family tells their neighbors about for a year. You will have a budget for that and permission to use it without asking twice.
And you will have a leader. This seat reports to our Sales Manager. They set your territory and your pricing guardrails, and then they get out of your way. You bring them honest pipeline numbers and clear questions. They bring you fast answers and cover on a pricing exception. Nobody here is above the broom, and nobody here gets left to figure out a hard homeowner conversation alone.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN - Every lead worked to a real yes or no. Self-generated or company-provided, nothing sits stale in the CRM. - Accurate, marginable pricing. Measurements and contracts that protect the margin the company needs to deliver the job at standard. - A clean handoff to Production. A complete file at signing, so nothing has to be re-verified before the job can start. - Your own self-generated pipeline. Canvassing, referrals, and a personal reputation in your territory, not just leads handed to you. - Honest homeowner expectations. Price, scope, and timeline set correctly before you leave the property. - Your own CRM accuracy. Same-day entry, because your commission is calculated off the truth you enter.
WHAT YOU ARE WALKING INTO This is not an order-taker seat, and it is not "close anything to hit a number." You will be trained on our product, our pricing, and our process, and you will be expected to say no to a job that is not a fit rather than sign something Production cannot deliver.
And you are not walking into chaos. We run on EOS. You will have a scorecard with numbers you own, a weekly one on one that actually happens, and a written playbook instead of a system that lives in somebody's head.
If you have been the top performer at a company that never gave you real systems, this is the one where the systems finally match your talent.
THIS JOB IS NOT FOR YOU IF We would rather you find this out now than six weeks in. - You need a guaranteed base salary. This is a 100 percent commission seat. There is no base. - You only want leads handed to you. Half of this job is generating your own, and we expect real weekly self-generation activity. - You take a no personally. A slow week gets met with more activity and sharper follow-up here, not a bad attitude. - You would rather discount than protect margin. You have a pricing guardrail, and going around it is not how you earn trust here. - You go quiet on follow-up once the check clears. The relationship does not end at the signature, and neither does the referral ask. - You are not willing to get on a roof. This seat inspects roofs and exterior systems in person, every time.
If you read that list and thought good, finally, somebody said it out loud, you are the person we are looking for.
WHAT YOU NEED - A valid driver's license and reliable transportation. You are on the road and in driveways every day. - Comfort climbing ladders and inspecting roofs. You evaluate the work before you sell it. - High-ticket or consultative sales experience preferred. Roofing, exterior remodeling, HVAC, windows, siding, solar, or other high-ticket residential sales. Proven sales professionals from other industries are welcome to apply. - Professional presentation with homeowners. You are often the first person from this company a homeowner ever meets. - Comfort working entirely on commission. Your income is uncapped, and it is also entirely in your hands.
COMPENSATION This is a 100 percent commission role with uncapped earning potential. There is no base salary. Top performers in this seat build six figure annual incomes. ContractingPRO provides a health insurance stipend. Beyond that, there is no guaranteed pay, no paid time off, and no paid holidays, your income is built entirely on what you sell.
BEFORE YOU APPLY Before any offer is extended, candidates are required to arrange reference calls with former direct managers. We select who we speak with from a list you provide. This is a condition of the hiring process, not a formality.
HOW TO APPLY Apply now and we will reach out within 48 hours. Tell us about a sale you lost. What would you do differently today?
