In this role, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of existing school customers, building strong, long-term relationships while identifying opportunities to grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling our products and services.
You'll act as a trusted partner to your customers, understanding their challenges, helping them get the most out of iSAMS and introducing solutions that add genuine value.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining relationship management with commercial sales and wants to make a real impact within the education technology sector.
Account Management & Relationship Building
Manage and develop a portfolio of existing school customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their needs, challenges and future objectives.
Conduct regular customer meetings, both virtually and face-to-face, to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
Drive customer satisfaction, retention and long-term account growth.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Identify and convert upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the iSAMS product and service portfolio.
Take ownership of the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities through to negotiation and closing.
Achieve individual sales targets by developing existing accounts and building a healthy pipeline.
Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations, communicating the value of our solutions.
Negotiate commercial agreements that deliver value for customers while supporting business growth.
Customer Engagement & Product Adoption
Work proactively with customers to maximise their use of iSAMS.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional functionality, products and services that support school requirements.
Keep customers informed of product updates, new features and developments.
Act as the voice of the customer, sharing feedback with internal teams to help improve products and services.
Pipeline Management & Collaboration
Maintain accurate customer records, sales opportunities and pipeline forecasts within Salesforce.
Effectively manage and prioritise your accounts to maximise commercial opportunities.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support and other internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Attend customer meetings, industry events, conferences and exhibitions as required.
Stay informed about developments within the education technology market and competitor landscape.
Essential Experience & Skills
Proven experience in Account Management, Customer Relationship Management or a similar commercially focused sales role.
Experience managing multiple customer accounts and delivering against sales targets.
A strong track record of developing existing business through upselling, cross-selling and account growth.
Excellent relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels.
Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
Ability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritise opportunities and work independently.
Confident communication and presentation skills, both virtually and face-to-face.
A proactive, organised and results-driven approach.
Comfortable using CRM systems and technology to manage customer relationships.
A full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel for customer meetings.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience selling SaaS, software or technology solutions.
Experience working within the education or EdTech sector.
Knowledge of school management information systems, particularly iSAMS.
Experience using Salesforce.
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and understanding customer needs, but who also has the commercial drive to turn opportunities into results.
You'll be confident managing your own portfolio, proactive in identifying growth opportunities and comfortable having commercial conversations with customers.
Most importantly, you'll understand that successful account management isn't just about selling more – it's about delivering value, building trust and creating long-lasting customer partnerships.
At IRIS Software Group, we develop software solutions that help organisations work smarter and more efficiently.
Joining our iSAMS team means becoming part of a business supporting schools through technology, helping them streamline processes and focus on delivering great educational experiences.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your commercial expertise, work with an established customer base and contribute directly to the continued growth of our education software business.
