Who We Are:
Crafty’s mission is to help companies craft better workplaces by providing the services and technology to deliver a modern, comprehensive food & beverage program for their employees, no matter where they work. After operating with a vertically integrated supply chain (i.e., directly fulfilling orders from Crafty-operated distribution centers) in Chicago and the Bay Area, our team launched a third party fulfillment model that has rapidly scaled our coverage into over 25 markets globally, in just a year’s time.
At Crafty, we have a diverse, high-powered team, composed of folks in technology, supply chain operations, field operations, sales, account management, and more. Our workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and just plain fun; we pride ourselves in having an amazing mix of humans who make up our team!
The Role:
San Francisco, CA
Shift: Monday - Friday
Crafty’s Senior Food & Beverage Associates are the face of our in-office Concierge pantry program while supporting their client site. They deliver the highest quality client experience, centered around hospitality and operational excellence. This role goes beyond completing tasks: Seniors own the outcomes of the site and serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the client relationship.
They lead day-to-day execution while managing the “complexity of the location” (high-touch clients and/or complex accounts), and are accountable for the written narrative shared with clients (recaps, budgets, and performance updates).
Crafty is looking for a Senior Associate whose responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Site Ownership: Own the outcomes of the site, not just the task list—audit, improve, and proactively problem-solve to improve efficiency and experience
- Client Engagement + Budget Partnership: Serve as the on-site point of contact for product swaps, service chains, and budget discussions; align service to the client’s goals while maintaining program standards
- Merchandising + Inventory Management: Maintain client office kitchens & pantries, storage rooms, and inventory health; execute ordering and order edits as needed to sustain service quality
- Equipment Maintenance + Quality Control: Perform routine maintenance on machines (such as coffee & kegerators), complete QC checks, and escalate issues with clarity and urgency
- Communication (Internal + External): Provide clear updates to Crafty partners and own client-facing written recaps and budget communications, ensuring a consistent, professional narrative
This is a full-time, hourly role with Crafty requiring availability Monday through Friday. Depending on your client assignment at the time of offer, your 8-hour shift will start at either 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM. In this role, you will support one client location full-time, or split your standard full-time schedule across two client sites.
Required Attributes:
- Client Obsessed: Demonstrates a deep commitment to understanding and exceeding client needs and preferences, consistently showing eagerness and patience in all client interactions.
- Owns Outcomes (Not Just Tasks): Takes full ownership of site performance and client experience; proactively identifies issues, implements solutions, and continuously improves execution beyond the standard task list.
- Strategic + Operationally Sound: Ensures that daily operations run smoothly while also thinking ahead—anticipating needs, managing complexity, and making sound decisions that protect the program and elevate service.
- Effective Communicator: Demonstrates exceptional communication skills across interpersonal, verbal, and written formats—able to write clear, professional client recaps and handle budget-related communication with confidence.
- Reliable: Shows accountability, punctuality, and consistency in fulfilling commitments. Maintaining high service standards, fostering client trust, and contributing to operational efficiency.
- Resilient: Quickly adapts to change, anticipates and addresses challenges with strong problem-solving skills, and maintains a positive attitude to ensure ongoing success.
- Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the client site as needed
- Collaborative:
- Encompasses the ability to work effectively with others towards shared goals while providing and receiving constructive input to enhance individual and team performance
- Demonstrates a team-oriented approach, emphasizing teamwork, supportive behavior, constructive conflict resolution, and a commitment to shared success.
- Autonomy: Autonomy empowers client operations team members to act decisively, innovate, and continuously improve, ultimately leading to enhanced client relationships, operational efficiency, and overall success in their roles through site and task ownership.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail by meticulously overseeing merchandising, inventory management, and ownership responsibilities to ensure precision, consistency, and excellence in all aspects of operations.
