Trauma Surgeon Jobs in Columbus, OH: Your Surgical Skills, a Better Way to Practice
You chose Trauma Surgery to be there in the moments that matter most. But years of 24-hour in-house call, overnight activations, gunshot wounds and multi-system injuries take a real toll on your sleep, your health and your family. Across the country, trauma and acute care surgeons face some of the highest burnout rates in medicine. Unpredictable hours, the emotional weight of the work and the strain of surgical critical care add up. Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Trauma Surgeons in Columbus, OH to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area.
Maybe you’re a Trauma Surgeon ready to step away from in-house call and middle-of-the-night activations for good. Maybe you want a part-time role during your off weeks. Either way, this no-call Trauma Surgeon job offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape.
Why Trauma Surgeons in Columbus, OH Choose Wound Care
In a specialty where your pager can go off at any hour for a level-one activation, we offer a refreshing alternative:
- The “No-Call” Lifestyle: No nights, no weekends, no 24-hour shifts and no pagers. No overnight trauma activations. This is a true Monday–Friday surgeon job, so your evenings and weekends belong to you and your family.
- Put Your Wound Expertise to Work: Complex wounds, debridement and soft tissue management are already part of your daily work. Your trauma training makes you a natural fit for wound care.
- Keep Your Surgical Skills: Surgical debridement and bedside procedures stay part of your daily practice.
- A Healthier Pace: Predictable days replace the adrenaline, sleep deprivation and emotional weight of the trauma bay.
- See Patients Heal: Follow patients through healing and build lasting relationships, instead of handing them off once they’re stable.
- Clinical Autonomy: Direct patient outcomes based on your surgical expertise, not a hospital committee or department hierarchy.
- Smarter Documentation: Our custom software is designed to slash admin time, so you’re not stuck charting at midnight when you could be home at a reasonable hour.
